According to Qatar's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Majed al-Ansari on X:
"As coordinated by the parties to the agreement and the mediators, the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip will begin at 8:30 AM on Sunday, 19 January, local time in Gaza. We advise the inhabitants to take precaution, exercise the utmost caution, and wait for directions from official sources."
For over 467 days, the resistance has remained steadfast and victorious. Through the unwavering determination of its people and their deep connection to their homeland, the Palestinian masses have claimed victory on their own terms, defeating the "israeli" occupation forces. The zionist entity sought to eradicate the idea of resistance in Palestine, failing to understand that this idea is eternal—rooted deeply within the hearts of the Palestinian people. Just as the idea will forever be everlasting, so will the spirit of our martyrs who continue to guide us to the ultimate goal: complete liberation from the river to the sea.
The colonizers believed Gaza would crumble. They thought fear, destruction, and despair would fracture the bond between the resistance and its people, and that the defenders of Gaza would be abandoned. But yesterday, as the dust settled, Gaza stood with pride, dignity, and honor as it continued to defend the last shred of humanity in the world. The streets of Gaza were filled with echoes of victory. Mothers embraced resistance fighters as their sons. Fathers raised their fists in pride. Children ran through the alleys, their cheers and laughter, a louder defiance than any weapon.
This is Gaza: resilient, unyielding, unshaken. Every bomb, every lie, and every attempt to sow division has only strengthened its resolve. The resistance is not separate from the people — it is the people. It is their sacrifice, their unity, and their unshakable will. The ceasefire is not merely a "pause" but a testament to their perseverance and faith. To the zionists and their allies who hoped for division, the celebrations in Gaza are a powerful reminder: Gaza’s strength lies in its unity, and this unity is built on resilience, faith, and the unrelenting pursuit of justice.
Gaza celebrates dignity and honor — a sentiment known only to those who have risen against oppression, to those who have chosen to resist proudly and stand far from humiliation. Yesterday, Gaza celebrated not just survival, but defiance. Not just life, but the promise of liberation. This is the beating heart of Palestine. Gaza is victorious. Gaza will always be victorious. From Gaza, the intifada was born, and from Gaza, the flood will continue.

Liberated prisoner Walaa Tanja, was once again freed by the Palestinian Resistance in the prisoner exchange (as she was in November 2023, before she was abducted again by the occupation.) Like Duha al-Wahsh, her brother Ayman was martyred during her imprisonment, and she learned only today upon her liberation.
Others are the same released Palestine ex-prisoners.
Liberated Jerusalemite prisoner, Aseel Eid al-Yassini, a Palestinian student freed by the Resistance in the Toufan al-Ahrar Exchange, embraces her family upon her freedom.
We rejoice in Gaza because joy here is not the result of victory or surviving death, but a triumph over despair, a moment of defiance against the circumstances that surround us.
We rejoice because, despite all the pain and fear, we still cling to life, and still find the strength to carry on. Joy in Gaza is a declaration that we have not retreated, that we have not been defeated, but that we are still here, shouting hope in the face of sorrow.
Joy here is a living resistance, a will to stand against everything that seeks to erase our existence. We know that joy does not come from the absence of pain but from our ability to live despite it.
We rejoice because our joy is an act of resistance, a confirmation that the Palestinian spirit cannot be crushed, no matter how long the darkness of the occupying forces endures. Joy in Gaza is more than just a reaction; it is a message to the world that, despite everything, we are here and we remain steadfast in the land of Gaza.

The freed prisoner Rula Hassanein from Bethlehem talks about the difficult conditions she experienced in the occupation prisons after her release as part of the resistance’s Toufan Al-Ahrar (Flood of the Free) prisoner exchange deal.
"The tragic situation that the female prisoners live in is challenging. There have been significant violations by the prison administration in their treatment of female detainees. Many of these instances cannot even be mentioned in the media due to their sensitive nature, particularly concerning women in general.
For example, we were not provided with necessities such as nail clippers. They were prohibited for over 3–4 months, and we would resort to cutting our nails using our teeth.
We were also denied access to items like hair combs, so we would use plastic forks to brush our hair.
All supplies available to the prisoners were confiscated, including clothing, through constant repression, repeated inspections, and strip searches that happened to many female detainees. Even different types of hijabs were taken away.
The tragic situation I experienced as a breastfeeding mother was indescribable. I left my daughter when she was only 9 months old. It was an extremely difficult situation that cannot be described—no language can express the feelings of a mother separated from her baby.
When I was arrested, I asked them to allow me to bring my infant daughter with me because she was still breastfeeding and heavily reliant on me. She was born prematurely by almost two months and was in a fragile health condition, but they denied my request.
Despite receiving several court decisions granting me release due to my situation, the military courts insisted on prolonging my detention."
The moment of receiving the release of the female leader, Khalida Jarrar, who was freed as part of the prisoner exchange deal with the occupation, showed a significant change in her appearance, reflecting the suffering of prisoners and detainees.
Drone footage showed Palestinians walking among destroyed buildings in the al-Saftawi area between Jabalia and Gaza City in northern Gaza after a ceasefire took effect.
"Israel's" 15-month-long genocide against Palestinians in Gaza has killed 46,913 Palestinians and injured 110,750 others, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza.
For 471 days, Israeli occupation forces have barred ambulances and civil defense teams from entering the struck areas in Gaza, impeding efforts to treat the wounded, retrieve thousands from under the rubble, and even accurately record the number of martyred and injured Palestinians.

The blood of the martyrs fuels victory:
The zionist entity failed to occupy Gaza.
The zionist entity failed to return the captives through military pressure and was only able to do so on the terms of the resistance.
The zionist entity failed to subdue Hamas, nor its mechanisms for ensuring control and security. Hamas' forces remained active throughout the Al-Aqsa Flood, and immediately.

Overwhelming bias and misinformation were revealed in British newspaper coverage of the prisoner exchange deal that took place yesterday between Hamas and Israel.
The UK media ignores all the news about the 90 Palestinian female and children prisoners who were freed from Israeli prisons yesterday, focusing only on the three Israeli captives.
The released Israeli captives appeared in good health unlike many Palestinian prisoners, who came out with visible signs of torture, abuse, and starvation. Some released children and women came out in a state of psychological breakdown.
